About Tanglier Studio

Tanglier Studio grew from a long standing interest in gathering, music, nature, and the ways creative environments shape human connection and experience.

Founded by Barbara Harris, Tanglier explores botanical art as both visual form and shared experience. Drawing from a background in arts administration, youth programs, music, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the studio blends natural materials, seasonal gathering, and sensory creativity through installations, workshops, and community centered events.

Barbara is a practicing violinist and arts administrator whose work has included leadership roles with the Oregon Bach Festival and youth centered arts programming throughout Oregon. Alongside her professional work in youth safety and systems coordination at the University of Oregon, Tanglier has become an evolving space for exploring music, botanical making, conversation, atmosphere, and participatory creative practice.

Through workshops, Flourish gatherings, and sculptural botanical forms, Tanglier invites people to slow down, notice, create, and reconnect with the textures of the natural world and with one another.
